Palomar Hills has three pools for the use and enjoyment of residents and their guests.

Open: Memorial Day through Labor Day
Children under 13 may not be left at the pool unattended. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a person at least 16 years of age or older. Parents are fully responsible for conduct of their children.
Persons 20 years old and younger must be under lifeguard supervision and therefore must use lap pool.
The Palomar Piranhas swim team practice in the lap pool Monday - Friday, 8AM – 10:30AM; from late May though mid-July.
The lap pool will close at 4PM when there is a Palomar Piranha's home swim meet.
Swim lessons may be offered by the lifeguards and swim team coaches.
The lap lane may be cordoned off to swim laps upon request.
Adult Pool
Open: Derby Day - First Weekend of October (Weather Permitting)
Reserved for residents and their guests 21 and older.
The Adult Pool is open to children under 21, (WHEN ACCOMPAINED BY AN ADULT) and adults from 10AM to 4PM and adults only from 4PM to 9PM, Monday through Friday. Weekends are reserved for the exclusive use of adults 21 and over. This policy will only be in effect for May before the lap pool opens, August when Fayette County Public Schools resume, and September after the lap pool closes.
When the lap pool is open for the season, the adult pool is not available for children’s use except when a swim meet is in session.
There are no lifeguards on duty at the adult pool; swim at your own risk.
Baby Pool

Membership cards are required for access to the pools and other amenities.

CODES OF CONDUCT
- Children 12 and under may not be left at the pool unattended. If any doubt occurs as to a child's ability to swim and abide by all pool rules, they will be asked to leave and to be accompanied by a parent or adult on future visits. Children 12 and under must be accompanied and supervised by a person at least 16 years of age or older. Parents are fully responsible for the conduct of their children.
- Admission will be denied to persons: a) having, or believed to have, any contagious disease, infectious condition, or abrasions which have not healed; b) believed to be under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior.
- Persons twenty (20) years of age or younger must be under lifeguard supervision and therefore must use the family pool. The adult pool is reserved for adults 21 and older.
- No food or drink allowed within three (3) feet of any of the pools. Each person bringing food and/or drink into the pool areas is responsible for disposing of it prior to departure.
- No running or boisterous play allowed. No spitting, spouting of water, or nose blowing permitted.
- Clean, appropriate swimming apparel required. Showers are recommended prior to entering the pool.
- No diving, except during supervised (scheduled) swim practices or swim meet.
- Animals prohibited in facility area, with the exception of seeing-eye dogs.
- No hard balls or tennis balls, towels, hats, paper cups, popsicle sticks, band aids, plastic straws, etc. are permitted in the pool. Pool toys and accessories are acceptable at the discretion of the pool guards.
- Radios and I-pods are restricted to use with earphones.
- The baby pool is for the benefit of children five years and younger unless child is handicapped or has special needs. Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person who will remain in the fenced wading area with them.
- Children who are not potty trained are required to wear a swim diaper.
- No one will be allowed in the pools outside published hours, with the exception of supervised swim practice or officially scheduled special activities. Any persons entering the pool area during the closed hours will be considered a trespasser and treated accordingly. The pool manager is authorized to close the pool should, in his or her judgment, circumstances warrant or after 8 p.m. if the pool is not being utilized.
- Members must accompany their guests and are fully responsible for their conduct.
- Willful defacing or destruction of property will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate suspension of pool privileges. Residents will be liable for loss or damages caused by them or their guests.
- In furtherance of the safety and welfare of all persons using the pool, pool guards are authorized to enforce the rules. Disciplinary measures may include whistle blowing, verbal warning, ejection from the pool, and loss of pool privileges.
- Pool parties are limited to a maximum of 25 swimmers. Fees will be collected for non-resident swimmers. Parties must be scheduled through the office prior to the event, and can only be held Monday-Friday for a maximum of 3 hours and Sunday after 4 p.m. Residents must be in attendance for the duration of the party.
- During swim meets the adult pool will only be available to residents with a valid membership card.
- No one under the age of 21 (who has the ability to swim) is permitted in the family pool during the lifeguard break.
- Smoking is only permitted outside the pool gates in grassy area near picnic tables.
- Each PHCA household will be issued 10 free individual visits.
- During regular pool hours, upon request, one lap lane will always be available to residents and a second lane will be made available, upon request, if crowd conditions warrant.
- Alcohol will be permitted with discretion, as long as residents and guests display a sense of civility. Drunkenness will not be tolerated, and one can be requested by the lifeguard in charge to peacefully leave the premises if they are disrupting others. All coolers are to be checked upon entering by the lifeguards; no glass bottle of any kind shall be allowed on the Palomar Hills premises; any glass bottle shall remain in said cooler outside the pools gates and may be accessed for transferring into a plastic cup outside the pool gates; such cups may be brought into the pool premises for responsible/legal consumption.
- Resident, nonresident pool members and all guests must understand that pool, clubhouse and other Palomar Hills privileges may be revoked by the Palomar Hills Board of Directors for disrespectful acts, bad behavior, abuse of alcohol, foul language or any acts deemed inappropriate by the Board.
Palomar Hills wishes to provide a comfortable, fun, friendly community pool, where members come together to relax and enjoy the facilities. It is for these reasons we ask everyone to abide by the rules listed above. Everyone’s safety and enjoyment is foremost in our minds.
Each household is assigned a numerical code. All members (and their guests) are required to check in with a lifeguard when entering the pool facilities. Your identification number must be entered at this time.
Every member of the family who wishes to use the pools needs to have their picture taken to have access to the pools. Photos will be taken at the Palomar Hills Clubhouse Monday-Friday between 1pm-5pm. Pictures and pool pass codes will only be issued to residents who show a photo ID with proof of Palomar Hills’ neighborhood street address.
Each household is assigned 10 free individual guest visits. Residents may bring a maximum of 2 guests per visit. Use of the pools is a privilege extended to Palomar Hills’ homeowners whose annual fees are current and paid in full.
The cost of a sitter pass is $50 and is valid when accompanying a child with a valid pool pass. The Palomar Hills Pool and lifeguards are not a babysitter for children.
Grandparents caring for grandchildren may purchase a $25 pass for each child age 12 and under. This gives them access to the pools Monday – Friday, as long as you accompany them and stay in good standing with the Association.
If you are a new resident or do not have a pool pass code: all family members residing in the home must stop by the Clubhouse between 1pm - 5pm to have your photo membership cards made.
The cost of a sitter pass is $50 and is valid when accompanying a child with a valid pool pass. The Palomar Hills Pool and lifeguards are not a babysitter for children.
Palomar Hills Community Association will not issue pool passes or guest passes if a resident account is delinquent more than $180 or their property is not in compliance with neighborhood restrictions. Residents who continue to use the pool in these circumstances will be assessed a fine of $10 per day per person.
Residents and their guests wishing access to the adult pool must be 21 years of age or older.
The family pool will close at 4PM when there is a Palomar Piranha's home swim meet.
When not in use the pools will close at 8PM at discretion of the lifeguards.
The Association may limit the use of pool guest passes on holidays and impose other restrictions as needed.
Full-time, non dependent residents (e.g., adult child living in the home) may be considered for a pool pass. Renters may qualify for this consideration provided they are renting with the proper approval of the board of directors.
Special passes may be purchased by calling the office at (859) 223-3740
