Modification Request Form
Palomar Hills is a deed-restricted community. The purpose of the Palomar Hills modifications process is to protect the interest of all homeowners by ensuring that permanent changes to any property are in keeping with the character of the neighborhood and that they enhance, not diminish, its aesthetic appeal.
Please review the modification guidelines under “Homeowner's Responsibilities” before planning or making any changes to the property. Once you have reviewed the guidelines, you may make a formal modification request by submitting this form to the association office no later than the 20"‘ of the month for inclusion in the following month’s board of directors meeting.
The board reviews and votes on modification requests at monthly board meetings. The meetings are held at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse on the third Monday of every month. Residents making modification requests must attend to answer questions about their project. If you are absent, the request will automatically be postponed until the next board meeting. The association will provide written notification of the board’s decision.
Please note that pursuant to Lexington Fayette Urban County Government regulations, homeowners must obtain a permit from the Division of Building Inspection before building any structure or moving, adding to, or altering existing structures. A permit also is required for installation of a swimming pool, construction of a driveway or fence, or major remodeling of a home. We strongly recommend calling (859) 258-3770 to determine if a permit is required before beginning any home improvement project.
