NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS!!
Palomar Hills is collecting names of neighbors interested in helping others in the neighborhood. In a time of crisis, when schools are closed, businesses are shuttered, sporting events are cancelled and families are in desperate need, communities are coming together to support each other. The coronavirus-caused COVID-19 is spreading around the world. The World Health Organization has called it a global pandemic. Among the fear and panic, there is hope and kindness. Businesses and individuals are doing what they can to lift others in stressful times. Social distancing is a public health practice that aims to prevent sick people from coming in close contact with healthy people in order to reduce opportunities for disease transmission. It can include large-scale measures like cancelling group events or closing public spaces, as well as individual decisions such as avoiding crowds. With COVID-19, the goal of social distancing right now is to slow down the outbreak in order to reduce the chance of infection among high-risk populations and to reduce the burden on health care systems and workers. If you would like to help your neighbors that are elderly or have increased health risks or in need of babysitting, please call the Palomar Hills office at 859/223-3740 or email admin@palomarhills.com. We will circulate the list on the blog within the next 24 hours. Thank you and know we will get through this trying and stressful time. |
