A NOTE FROM THE MAIL CARRIER Spring time is here again, and perhaps due to the mild winter, the bugs are out earlier than expected. Last year there were an unusually high number of wasps nesting in and underneath mailboxes, and they have already begun to nest in the same places this year. Wasps can be especially dangerous to kids retrieving mail, so please check inside and under your boxes at least once a week and destroy any nests you may find. The Post Office will not authorize delivery to mailboxes where a hazard exists, so the best way to receive regular mail delivery is to wasp-proof your box. Thanks very much! FOOD DRIVE Saturday, May 13th is the annual food drive, with all food items collected by mail carriers going to local charities. Canned, bottled, and boxed items are accepted. Please place your donation next to the mailbox for pick-up. Thank you for your generosity! Lost your wedding ring? Stop by the Clubhouse to see if your ring was dropped off for safe keeping! |
