In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mayor Gorton announced that the Lexington public pools will be closed for the Summer of 2020. The Governor has issued emergency orders related to recreational facilities and a phased Healthy At Work Program that does not indicate that pools can be reopened. We understand that the Lexington-Fayette Health Department advised that no permits for public or private pools will be issued until social distancing orders are lifted. Therefore, the Palomar Hills pools will remain closed for the time being. The Board of Directors has not determined that the pools will be closed all summer, but that is a possibility. If the opportunity to open for a partial season becomes available, the Board will consider the situation and make an informed decision. The neighborhood garage sale scheduled for Saturday May 16 has been cancelled. It may be rescheduled for a later date this summer. Thank you!
