Similar to The Bourbon Trail, the horse industry has come together to form Horse Country. As part of our initiative, local farms, including Mill Ridge, are opening our doors for tours…selling tickets through the Horse Country website. However, on March 18th, we are providing free tours to all locals…and, would love to have any interested Palomar residents come over for a visit. Here are the details… Saturday March 18th members of horse country are opening their gates to “meet their neighbors.” Mill Ridge will be hosting 3 tour times: 9:00am-10:00am 10:15am-11:15am 11:30am-12:30am You must have a ticket to enter, but the tickets are free! Here is a link the Mill Ridge experience: https://visithorsecountry.com/farms/19349/tours/31175 and here is the link to all of the experiences: http://info.visithorsecountry.com/meet-the-neighbors/ There is a lot of history in your backyard, and we would love to share it with you. We hope to see you then! Sarah M. Agenda items are: January Minutes and Financial Report, Harrodsburg Road Development, and Grandchildren Summer Pool Pass. Parking Reminders!!! Brick Pull-Off Areas & Brick Circle Courts In spite of numerous and frequent pleas, some residents continue to use the stamped concrete pull-off areas and courts as their own personal and permanent parking spaces. This practice impedes traffic flow and makes it difficult for other residents to safely enter or leave their property. Please be considerate of others and park in your driveway or garage. Healthier Together Yoga is held every Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Clubhouse. Bring a mat and join the group. Class is free and open to all levels. Please call Mei Zhu at 859-492-3380 with questions. Water Fitness The Association is looking for someone to lead a water fitness class a couple of mornings a week this summer. No certification necessary.......just looking to have some fun! Please contact the Clubhouse at 223-3740 if you are interested. Private Property The area along the spillway is private property and not owned by the Association. There are an increasing number of residents using this space for walking dogs which is not for public access. Please refrain from trespassing onto privately owned property and remind children to stay on the sidewalks and not cut - through others yards. Speeding and Stop Signs Drivers who speed and run stop signs endanger the lives of others...and it is a growing problem in Palomar Hills. Please be responsible and make a conscious effort to obey the 25 mile-per-hour speed limit and come to a complete stop at all intersections. Noise Ordinances Please be considerate and refrain from disturbing others. The LFUCG noise ordinance is a noise which annoys or disturbs another person across the boundary line. This includes: barking dogs, loud music, basketball after dark, fireworks etc. |
