Reminders

Picking Up After Your Dog

Palomar Hills staff extends their thanks to responsible pet owners and good neighbors who carry plastic bags when walking their dogs.  Please pick up animal waste in your neighbors’ yards and the common areas.

Fishing Prohibited in Ponds

Fishing is prohibited in all Palomar Hills ponds because it upsets the ecosystem, creates the need for expensive chemical treatments, damages the fountains, and otherwise costs the association hundreds of dollars per year.

In the course of patrolling the neighborhood, security officers have observed people fishing and asked them to leave.  Since officers are not always present when violations occur, it is important that residents pay attention to what is going on around them.  Please be observant and call the association office or Fayette County Police Department to report suspicious people or activities.

Keep Palomar Hills Beautiful

Thank you to residents and contractors who have shown respect for neighborhood restrictions and their neighbors keeping Palomar Hills beautiful and free of sign pollution!

·         Political signs: These are prohibited.

·         Vendor signs: These are prohibited.

·         “Garage Sale” signs: These are prohibited except on the day of a neighborhood-wide garage sale.  The next Palomar Hills Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, October 11th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

·         “For Sale” signs: Neighborhood restrictions permit one standard-size “For Sale” sign and, when necessary, one “Open House” sign.  To keep our neighborhood as attractive as possible, we do not permit the placement of arrows, directional, or any other type of sign on any street corner, common area, median, entrance, or property other than that which is for sale.

Clubhouse Rental

Interested in renting the Palomar Hills clubhouse?  Review the guidelines for reservations and then go to the calendar to see if the date you want is available.  The clubhouse stays busy year-round, so contact the office early to improve the chances of reserving your preferred date.

Modifications

Palomar Hills modification guidelines require homeowners to seek prior written approval for any permanent changes they wish to make to their home.  This includes, but is not limited to, exterior trim color, shingles, deck, porch, and room additions, satellite dishes, landscape plans, and fences.

Don’t risk having to tear down or repaint.  Save time and money (and avoid headaches) by adhering to modifications guidelines.  If you’re not sure how to make a modification request, please call the office or click here.

Need a Membership Card?

Membership cards are required for access to the pools and all other amenities.  Residents who do not have a card may obtain one at the clubhouse.  Bring a recent photo or driver’s license for each person in the household needing a card.

Please carry your card with you when using Palomar amenities to avoid any inconvenience when staff or security personnel ask to see it.

Limbing Up Street Trees

Street trees that are trimmed regularly help avoid serious safety hazards to walkers, drivers, and others using neighborhood streets and sidewalks.  In addition, trees with large branches hanging over the sidewalk and street are more prone to breaking off and striking people, vehicles, and anything else that happens to be nearby.

According to LFUCG ordinance, street trees must be limbed up to 7’ of above sidewalks and 12’ above the street to provide adequate clearance and visibility.  Please do your part to protect yourself and others by limbing up street trees.

Automatic Payments

Do you have trouble remembering to send in your dues?  No matter where you bank, you now have the option of paying your association dues through automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Withdrawals will occur on January 5, April 5, July 5, and October 5, (or the next business day should the normal withdrawal date fall on the weekend).  The automated payment plan saves time and money for homeowners and the association.

To authorize Palomar Hills for automatic payment of dues, please complete and return this form to the clubhouse.

Tennis & Basketball Court Keys

Homeowners wishing to use the basketball and tennis courts must purchase a key for $5 at the clubhouse during office hours (9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).  Children may not purchase keys.

Recreational amenities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Tennis and basketball courts must be kept locked, even when in use, to help prevent vandalism and curb unauthorized use by non-residents.
