Mailbox

Mailboxes must be maintained using paint color, decals, and lettering approved by the neighborhood association. Please see Mailbox Information for information on refurbishing mailboxes and for the phone number of David Powers, a contractor who understands the requirements and has painted, replaced, repaired and reconditioned mailboxes throughout Palomar Hills. The new mailboxes are much stronger and heavier than the old ones, which are no longer available.

*Downlighting
Mailbox downlighting adds a very subtle yet pleasing touch to the streetscape in the evenings. If the light is not functioning, contact the office and the association will install a light set ($5.00 cost to homeowners) as a free service to the residents. If there is more involved, the association will advise homeowners about any repairs that are necessary. Restoring mailbox downlighting is not mandatory.
