
Children under the age of 10 may not be left at the pool unattended. This rule will be rigidly enforced. If any doubt occurs as to a child's ability to swim and abide by all pool rules, the guard on duty may ask the child to leave and to be accompanied by a parent or adult on future visits. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied and supervised by a person at least 15 years of age or older. Parents are fully responsible for the conduct of their children.
Admission will be denied to persons:
a) having, or believed to have, any contagious disease, infectious condition, or abrasions which have not healed;
b) believed to be under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior. Persons seventeen (17) years of age or younger must be under pool guard supervision and therefore must use lap pool. No gum, alcohol or tobacco allowed in facility area. No food or drink allowed within three (3) feet of any of the pools. Each person bringing food and/or drink into the pool areas is responsible for disposing of same prior to departure. No running or boisterous play allowed. No spitting, spouting of water, or nose blowing permitted in the pool. No glass containers allowed in facility area. Clean, appropriate swimming apparel required. No diving, except during supervised (scheduled) swim practices or swim meet. Animals prohibited in facility area, with the exception of seeing-eye dogs. To minimize algae growth, showers are recommended prior to entering the pool. No hard balls or tennis balls, towels, hats, paper cups, popsicle sticks, band aids, plastic straws, etc. are permitted in the pool. Pool toys and accessories are acceptable at the discretion of the pool guards. Use of radios and tape players is restricted to the Walkman type with earphones. The wading/baby pool is for the benefit of children five years and younger unless child is handicapped or has special needs. These children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person who will remain in the fenced wading area with them. Cloth and disposable diapers are prohibited in all pools unless worn under rubber waterproof pants. The pool normally will be open for use during the hours listed. No one will be allowed in the pool during other hours, with the exception of supervised swim practice, swim lessons, or officially scheduled special activities. Any persons entering the pool area during the closed hours will be considered a trespasser and treated accordingly. The pool manager or head pool guard is authorized to close the pool should, in his or her judgment, circumstances warrant. Members must accompany their guests and are fully responsible for their conduct. The same guest shall not be admitted to the facilities more than four times in one month unless the person is a house guest of the resident and lives more than 50 miles from Lexington. The number of guests per family is not to exceed four on any given day. Refer to "Membership Cards and Pool Passes." Willful defacing or destruction of property will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate suspension of pool privileges. Residents will be liable for loss or damages caused by them or their guests. In furtherance of the safety and welfare of all persons using the pool, pool guards are authorized to enforce the rules. Disciplinary measures may include whistle blowing, verbal warning, ejection from the pool, and loss of pool privileges. Private parties are limited to a maximum of 20 swimmers. Guest passes and/or guest fees are required for non-residents in the party. All private parties must be scheduled through the office prior to the event and must be held during normal pool hours. Limit one (1) party at a time. Residents must be in attendance for the duration of the party.
